WHO WE ARE

A collaborative workforce development training program

BristolWORKS! is a collaborative workforce development training center, providing individuals with skills, certifications and job-placement services to obtain employment quickly or to allow them to continue with advanced programs. The four fundamental training programs (Manufacturing, IT, Early Childhood Education, and Healthcare) that are funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) are free to those who live or work in Bristol and are available to all others for a fee. 

Additionally, BristolWORKS! offers a number of other programs.

BristolWORKS! was made possible by funds received through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

How to Apply

BristolWORKS! opened its doors in March 2023. Our Foundational Manufacturing, Healthcare, Early Childhood, and Information Technology Programs are FREE to those who live or work in Bristol, CT thanks to ARPA funding through the City of Bristol; however, anyone may attend. BristolWORKS! also offers additional workforce development programs at cost.

Our Staff

BristolWORKS! is led by Director Kim Ward Holley. Kim brings over 25 years in the field of education where she has served as a teacher, principal, Superintendent of Schools, and Executive Director in both public and non-profit educational settings. Kim is a lifelong resident of Bristol and is excited to bring her skills and experience to serve and positively impact the City of Bristol. Kim’s years of experience working with career-technical education, workplace readiness, and re-entry programs makes her the perfect fit to launch this new, transformational, training program.
